BOULDER, Colorado – (COMMERCIAL THREAD) – Zayo Group Holdings, Inc., a leading global provider of fiber optic communications solutions, today announced a new product offering available to new and existing customers in key US markets and Canada. The offering, called Shielded Internet Access, includes some of Zayo’s most popular services: Dedicated Internet Access, Distributed Denial of Service (DDoS) Protection, and CloudLink. Protected Internet access is initially available in Phoenix, Dallas-Fort Worth, Denver, Indianapolis, Seattle and Toronto and will be available in other markets in 2022.

The competitively priced offering allows customers to consolidate their internet, internet security and direct cloud connection, all delivered through a single multiservice port. Customers will benefit from the combination of high-performance Internet service and multi-layered DDoS protection, which uses cutting-edge technology to identify potential threats before they negatively impact the business.

“Secure Internet Access demonstrates Zayo’s commitment to meeting our customers’ demands by providing streamlined, best-in-class, and easy-to-implement solutions,” said Dan Stoll, General Manager, Regional Networks at Zayo . “Our unrivaled global network, combined with this new set of services, provides customers with secure connectivity that takes them wherever they need to be in the most convenient and cost-effective way possible. ”

In addition to this new product offering, Zayo continues to invest and expand the network infrastructure, including in markets with early access to Zayo’s new product offering. This includes increasing connections to buildings and data centers, and bringing higher capacity connectivity to public and private sector customers.

Phoenix’s extensive network encompasses approximately 100 miles of road in the West Valley, including Goodyear, Avondale, El Mirage and other surrounding communities, providing customers with high capacity connectivity as well as a variety of fiber paths. Zayo also builds 200 kilometers of fiber in Pinal County, covering the development areas connecting Phoenix and Tucson, as part of a federal program, known as E-rate, which provides funds to schools, libraries and consortia for Internet access.

In the Dallas-Fort Worth area, Zayo has deployed 105 miles of new fiber in 2021 and an additional 60 miles is expected to be deployed in 2022. This is in addition to the recently announced 822 mile long-haul dark fiber route from Dallas to Atlanta. , two of the country’s largest data and colocation markets. Two additional long-haul routes, one connecting Dallas to Phoenix to Los Angeles and another connecting Dallas to Denver, will be completed in the third quarter of 2022 and will add nearly 2,700 road miles to Zayo’s vast North American footprint.

In Denver, Zayo has 532 miles of new long-haul dark fiber routes providing a connection to Salt Lake City along the I-70 corridor with an additional 177 miles of long-haul fiber slated for 2022, strengthening Zayo’s existing route between Denver and Dallas. Zayo also has a wavelength capacity of 400G between Denver and Omaha and will complete a wavelength of 400G towards Salt Lake City by the end of the year. An additional 400G compatible route connecting Denver to Dallas is expected to be completed in the first quarter of 2022.

Zayo continues to invest and expand its network infrastructure in key markets globally and expects further product packages in 2022. For more information on Zayo’s Protected Internet Access, please visit https://go.zayo.com/SIA.
